Prayer
at st lukes
An important part of St Luke's life is gathering together to pray for the church, the community and the world. There are a number of times during the week that we do this, below is a summary of our prayer pattern and you can click the link below to see a more detailed description of the different meetings.
Morning Prayer (Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 6.45am)
...On Monday we mainly focus on praying for the coming week, praying for God's presence to be with us, and for His will to be done in the Church, in our lives, and in our nation. Wednesday is an informal time of prayer and worship with coffee and pastries at the start. Friday is prayer based around a meditation on a passage from the Bible.
Thursday Evening (7.30pm - NOT 4th Thursday)
...Our main prayer meeting of the week, where the whole church gathers to worship God, listen to His Spirit, and to pray for His will to be done.
Fan the Fire (7.30pm every 4th Tuesday)
...On the 4th Tuesday of every month we all join together with homegroups for Fan the Fire, this replaces our usual Thursday evening prayer meeting and follows a similar pattern with prayer for church life and upcoming events and courses.
