Brenda is a part of the Grace Church-Nairobi Chapel team. With a love for working with children and youth (and they love her!) and being highly creative and organised Brenda has been a great addition to our team. As well as helping with Kids Church on Sundays, amongst many other teams, Brenda is currently pioneering our outreach to young people in the Earls Court area, and also building connections with Lee Abbey London alongside Clay.
Where are you from?
What brought you to St Luke's?
As a missionary from Nairobi Chapel Church I'm a part of the team tasked with the mission of planting a church in London. My desire to make disciples of all nations was met by the opportunity of 3 churches (Nairobi Chapel, Grace Church, and St Luke's) coming together in partnership.
Why do you love Jesus?
Jesus is not only the man who gave His life to save mine, but He is also my friend. He is my confidant, my comforter, my joy, my provider, my Hope... No amount of words are enough to describe why I love Him, and my deepest desire is to make Him known to as many as possible so that we can share in this joy of knowing Him.
Favourite thing/s to do in London?
Exploring the different places of art and design all around London. Every corner of this city is a work of art and just getting to explore in the museums, parks and the streets is amazing. The intricacy in the works of sculptures is beautiful and the complexity of the buildings in the city is inspiring. You can see a lot of London by getting the bus!
Interesting fact about yourself...
I'm shy and I have a very short concentration span (I work best with images and illustrations when explaining something, otherwise with too many wording, I get lost in between).
You in nutshell...
Kenyan missionary in the UK, who loves Jesus and anything creative. Reading books, creating art, as well as cleaning relaxes me.
